In short: "The bulk of our city's doggie dreck is still mummified in non-biodegradable plastic bags and carted off to the landfill where it oozes unharnessed methane into the atmosphere and contributes to global warming. But theoretically, it is possible to produce electricity, natural gas and even fuel from our pets' poop."
